Just now, in the middle of a casual rummy game i mentioned that i didn't realise i haven't blog for so long. G accused me of failing our first bet and i denied it immediately. I told him it had only been 8 days. G then said, 'yeah and when you realised that time is approaching you'll just shoot out a short post'. I denied it again. Then stopped. Thought about my last post and swallowed guiltily.
Can i now attempt to deny that this post is not guilt-driven?
Really it isn't! *futile
Hahahaha anyway here's one of my favourites bets in Spain.
I hate queuing. And one thing i hate more than queuing is - queuing under the hot hot sun. So to take our minds off the sweat accummulating in our foreheads/under our armpits/down our backbone, we made a bet.
How long are we going to queue?
M : 18 minutes
RJ : 20 minutes
Kenny : 21 minutes
Joanne : 22 minutes
G : 24 minutes
Alex : 25 minutes
Lil : 26 minutes
(closest wins the pool of 1 euro per person)
Time went by fast after that. We slowly picked our way through the bet, arguing the limits (no more than 3 minutes plus minus our guesses) and then nervously predicting who is most accurate. As we went closer... and closer... It was damn clear Lilian was going to win - the queue was neverending!!!
So all of us started praying we would queue longer WTF so no one would win (29th minute).
The total time we queued was 27 minutes 55 seconds.
Lil won! Almost got a free lunch just like that haha.
It's really a good game to play to kill all those ridiculous waiting time. For example, we also bet how many cigarettes Alex smoked or who would be the first person to say the word 'Spain' and stuff like that :)
Makes queuing half bad ;)
ps: I think i'm a pretty impatient person but i have evidence to prove otherwise - uploading pictures is really a patience tester. It's so slow i can milk two cows and make butter out of it before they're done uploading. FTS.
