The Carplate Bet

G and I like to think we have a Sherlock Holmes inside us.

We brag (to each other) about our own amazzzzzing observation skills and reversely, we thrash each other in glee if one fails to notice something.

We're such cool people huh.

One of the first bets we've made since day one of our relationship was the carplate bet.

The first person to spot the latest carplate wins a scoop of ice cream :)

In Malaysia, carplates have three alphabets followed by four numbers. In Wilayah Persekutuan, they alphabets start with 'W'. So a carplate would like like this : WMG 2287

Each time all four numbers are used up to 9999, they would proceed to the next alphabet. So, from 'WMG' they'll move to 'WMH'.

Essentially the game is to spot the latest change of alphabet.

We started when the alphabets were WMG i think.

Now it's WSV!

When we returned to Malaysia this summer G immediately spotted WSU.

Like a maniac hunter, i beadily stared at every car driving past for WSV the next few days. On my birthday, i let my guard down a little and G snatched WSV from me T____T

I think i made up too many excuses for not spotting carplates first :

'I'm not driving. Drivers are more observant.' (bullshit)
'I was looking at you.' (bullshit)
'Are you sure it's WSV? I saw it as WSU.'

I might try pretending to be asleep if he wins the next round. Just pray i won't be half talking when he spots it -__-

But it's all in good fun. Wish me luck on WSW! If i don't spot it first, G will NEVER let me live it down.
